The Department of Chemistry is a premier centre of Gaya College, Gaya (A constituent unit of Magadh University, Bodhgaya) for teaching and learning in Chemistry. It was founded by the learned Professors in 1948. Prof. Sadhu Saran was the first Head of the Department. The department aims to provide quality education to the students and a to make them aware about the recent progress in the field of Chemistry. The department has smart class and dedicated laboratories (4 in number) to provide hands on experience in practical knowledge. The department offers two years Post-Graduate Course (M.Sc. in Chemistry) and four ears Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. in Chemistry) with CBCS curriculum.
